Create a PDF from a HEIC image
Each HEIC or HEIF image becomes its own single-page PDF. If you want to combine several images into one multi-page document, use the batch HEIC-to-PDF tool instead.
How to convert HEIC to PDF
Choose your HEIC or HEIF files. Conversion starts after selection, and you can download each successful result when it is ready.
- 1
Choose HEIC or HEIF files
Choose one or more HEIC or HEIF images. Privacy accepts individual images; Cloud can also accept ZIP files.
- 2
Follow each item as it processes
Conversion starts after file selection. Each file shows its own progress, and failed items can be retried.
- 3
Download the PDF results
Each successful input creates its own PDF file. Download files individually, or use the grouped ZIP download when several results are ready.
What the PDF output contains
Each input creates one single-page PDF with the image placed on that page. The regular converter does not automatically merge several inputs into one document.
PDF is useful when you need a document file for sharing, printing, or uploading. If you still need a reusable image file, JPG or PNG is usually a better fit.
When you need a JPEG copy, convert HEIC to JPG.
Privacy or Cloud?
Privacy is the default for individual HEIC or HEIF images. The image conversion happens in your browser and those images are not uploaded.
Cloud uploads files to Morphio for server-side processing and also supports ZIP input. Files uploaded in Cloud are deleted by default after one day.
ZIP input and ZIP download are different things: ZIP input is a Cloud feature, while a ZIP download simply bundles several successful results.
Progress, retries, and downloads
Each file has its own progress and result. A failed file can be retried without discarding the files that already finished.
When several retryable items remain, Continue can resume them. Successful files stay available for individual download, with a grouped ZIP download when applicable.
Privacy, Cloud, and file handling
- Processing
- Privacy processes individual HEIC/HEIF images in your browser. Cloud uploads files to Morphio for server-side processing.
- Cloud retention
- Files uploaded in Cloud are deleted by default after one day.
- Metadata
- Morphio keeps supported metadata when the output format can carry it. Some HEIC-specific data may not transfer.
- ZIP files
- ZIP input is available in Cloud. A ZIP download for multiple successful results is available in both Privacy and Cloud.
- PDF output
- Each HEIC/HEIF input produces one separate single-page PDF; multiple inputs are not merged into one PDF.
Separate PDFs or one combined document?
Use this HEIC to PDF page when each image should become its own PDF. Use the batch HEIC-to-PDF page when several images need to be arranged and combined into one document.
When PDF is the right output
Choose PDF when a form, document process, printer, or recipient specifically needs a PDF. If the next step is image editing or image upload, choose an image format instead.
To see the picture without changing it, use the HEIC viewer. For another output, open the format selector.
Before you download
Use HEIC to PDF when you need a document copy of the image rather than another image format.
After a HEIC to PDF conversion, open the PDF and check the page before sending or uploading it.
