Help with your HEIC and HEIF photos

First open the tool for your output format: JPG, PNG, WebP, or PDF. Choose Privacy or Cloud before adding files; Privacy is selected by default. Then select or drag in one or more HEIC or HEIF images. Processing starts automatically, with no separate Start conversion button.

Privacy processes images in your browser without uploading them. Cloud uploads files for server-side processing; uploaded images are deleted by default after one day. All four output formats are available in both modes.

To convert images inside a ZIP, choose Cloud. You can select multiple ZIPs and mix them with ordinary HEIC or HEIF files. Each ZIP is handled as a separate archive task, including extraction and safety checks.

Privacy does not process ZIP input. If you mix ZIPs with images in Privacy, it shows a Cloud-only ZIP notice and continues with the supported image files.

A result ZIP is different: both modes can package multiple completed results for download. This download package does not merge the images or turn separate PDFs into a multi-page PDF.

Watch each item's progress. When it succeeds, its progress bar is replaced by a download button. Download results individually, or use Download ZIP or Download all when multiple successful results are available.

Use Retry for an individual failed item. When retryable items remain, Continue beside the mode selector retries the remaining failed items together. You do not need to repeat successful conversions, and you can still add more files.

Keep the page open while processing and downloading. The converter does not currently provide a Cancel button for a running conversion.

Guests and signed-in users can receive a free trial allowance. You can use the available guest allowance without creating an account; it is not an unlimited free service.

Privacy uses the same online usage system as Cloud to check your allowance and plan eligibility, even though images stay local. It is not a fully offline workflow.

Before an ordinary conversion is authorized, at least 1 point per image is checked or reserved. The active tool shows your current allowance and plan eligibility.

Cloud conversion and HEIC compression check or reserve at least 1 point per image before processing. Final points are based on actual processing time, with a minimum of 1 point; each additional 30-second processing interval can add points.

An initial estimate or reservation may differ from the final charge. Work already started can finish even if final usage takes the point balance below zero. Points added later first offset that negative balance.

If usage is insufficient, check the message and available plan options. Keep the page open; use Retry or Continue if the task offers them after your access or balance updates. If neither is available, contact support@morphio.online for help.

JPG is useful for broad compatibility, but conversion re-encodes the image with lossy compression. Transparent areas are filled with the configured background color. PNG supports transparency, but choosing PNG does not add detail or improve the source image's quality.

WebP is useful for supported websites and apps. The current WebP conversion page does not offer a lossy/lossless switch, quality slider, or resize controls.

PDF creates one separate, single-page PDF per input image. Multiple images produce multiple PDFs, not one multi-page document. You can download those PDFs together in a result ZIP.

Choose a HEIC or HEIF file in the viewer to decode it locally in your browser. You can switch between supported frames or top-level images and inspect the EXIF metadata and image details the viewer can read.

After the image loads, select the frame you want and use Convert to JPG or Convert to PNG to export that current frame through local Privacy conversion. Viewing a multi-image file does not automatically export every frame.

The HEIC compressor uses Cloud processing: it uploads your images and returns HEIC files, rather than converting them to JPG. Compression uses the Cloud points rules described above.

Download the completed result and compare it with your original. Compression can reduce visible detail, and the size reduction depends on the source. A file that is already optimized may return a failure when it cannot be made meaningfully smaller.

Read the item's error message first. Failures can involve an unsupported HEIC feature, a damaged or incomplete file, file or archive limits, metadata processing, browser resources, or a Cloud network problem. A failed conversion does not necessarily mean your photo is damaged.

Check the tool's current limits and retry the affected item with the original file. If Privacy cannot process it, you can try Cloud if you are comfortable uploading the image. ZIP archives must pass safety checks; encrypted, nested, or unsafe archives may be rejected.
